Explaining the Model of Human Capital Development for SMEs in Order to Organizational Agility

The aim of this study is explaining a model for developing individual capabilities of human capital in order to make small and medium enterprises agile. For this purpose and based on research literature and exploratory interviews with experts, initial model was designed. By this, we defined two main hypotheses; a questionnaire was designed and distributed to the research statistical sample; i.e. managers and experts of enterprises in Science and Technology Park of Tehran University. In order to analyze data and evaluate research hypotheses, factor analysis and structural equation model were used by SPSS and LISREL softwares. According to the results, it can be stated that developing individual capabilities of human capital will lead to agility of human capital and subsequently, agility of small and medium enterprises. It was also determined that entrepreneurship, knowledge, motivation, and skills are the most important factors to explain individual capabilities development of human capital, respectively. Meanwhile, information system, empowerment, competency, knowledge management, intelligence, and awareness are the most important factors to explain the human capital agility; also competency, flexibility, speed, and responsibility are the most important factors to explain the agility of small and medium enterprises, respectively.
