Abstract

This paper aims to analyse the participation of Latin America in the League of Nations, by considering Colombia as a case study. Through a historical approach and using diplomatic sources, the purpose of the essay is to find out the orientation of Bogota’s governments about the structure of an organism built to ensure peace, but from the beginning lacerated by the tension between the traditional politics of power and the aspirations for universal cooperation schemes.
