"IMAGINATIO LOCORUM". FOR EUGÉNIO DE ANDRADE’S GEOPOETIC
Abstract
In addition to providing some guidance in the complex debate about the relationship between geography and literature as discussed in the Theory of Literature, the concept of geopoetics (still in fieri) can contribute not only to check - according to the traditional approach - the data spatial in the poetic representation but also to discover that all surplus imaginary poetry stratified in places (cities, towns, neighborhoods). If we can talk about a geopoetics of Portuguese poetry of the twentieth century, the work of Eugénio de Andrade can be considered as a device for reinvention and rewriting of certain spaces of Portuguese territory.
