The Vaticanus Reginensis Graecus 103 and the textual tradition of Chalkokondyles

Abstract

Codex Vaticanus Reginensis Graecus 103 contains large fragments from the historical work of Laonikos Chalkokondyles. The aim of the present paper is to outline the provenance of this manuscript, to examine the quires of the Chalkokondyles text preserved in it, to determine their relationship to each other, to overview the several handwritten notes found in the margin of the pages, and to place the manuscript in the textual tradition of Chalkokondyles.
