FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE: DIGITAL RECONSTRUCTION AND VIRTUAL REALITY IN ARCHAEOLOGY

Abstract

The paper presents a digital restoration methodology of a historical monument starting from the results of a terrestrial scan done in situ. The paper describes the steps to be followed to achieve a digital restoration whose results can be validated in the virtual environment and then used in an interactive virtual reality application.
