This article is the result of a qualitative research that aimed to analyze the process of change and strategic adaptation of a company in the construction sector. It is a study of simple and longitudinal case, using the research methodology of the strategic dimensions of the company: context, content and process, based on the reality perceived by respondents. Data were obtained from primary and secondary sources, and from the analysis of data held in a descriptive way, the identification of critical organizational events was possible, which were grouped into four strategic periods detailing the changes in the company studied during the period of thirteen years. The study was also interpreted from the theoretical assumptions of training strategies. The results show the influence of an entrepreneurial management and the impact of factors internal and external environment of the company adopting different configurations during the period analyzed. It was also felt that strategic changes are influenced by their leader who has great participation in the decision-making process.
