اسلام میں تصور امتحانات و جائزہ۔ (Concept of Examination & Evluation in Islam)

Abstract

Examination and evaluation of students' performance constitute significant component of Islamic educational system. There is no other viable way to measure students' capacity and capability in their study. In Islamic system of education teacher plays a very meaningful role; he is considered the best assessor and evaluator of his students. In early stages of Islamic history the teachers promoted fully qualified students to the higher calsses on the basis of examination and evaluation system; and brilliant students were bestowed stipends, scholaships rewards and medals. Islamic system of education is simple, less showy and yet very effective and useful. This article highlights the original idea of examination and evaluation in Islam.
