We propose new controllable LC-composite diffractive optical elements based on a new phenomenon of forming LC microfilaments with a length of up to several centimeters in a borosiloxane matrix. Materials based on the investigated LC composites can be used in display technology and optoelectronics, for example, as microresonators and electron-optical sensors.
