The record data show that 97, 93% out of 100% target have gained access to healthy drinking water in West Sumatra. Therefore, peoples' readiness to face water crisis disasters must improve to survive, leading to low disaster impact. This research aims to study peoples' readiness to cope with water crisis disasters in the higher degree category of Padang's slump areas. This research is a quantitative study in crosssectional study design. This research was done in December 2022-July 2023, with 35 people selected using proportional random sampling. The data were taken using interviews and questionnaires based on LIPI parameters consisting of the following indicators: knowledge and behavior, emergency plan, early warning system, and resource mobilization. The result shows 34. 3% of people have low readiness, 22. 9% have moderate readiness, and 42.9% have high readiness. Therefore, through General Work and Residence and Space Management, local government can collaborate with society, including people's education about water crisis disasters.
