STRATEGI PENGGUNAAN E-TKI SEBAGAI WAHANA DALAM MENGATASI KESENJANGAN INFORMASI
Abstract
Informations received by prospective TKI and current TKI workers are still insufficient because the government has not been optimally delivering emancipate information related to protection and placement of TKI overseas. Complaints concerning the lack of access and information service facilities could be decreased if the Indonesian government is more intensive in delivering informations to prospective TKI and TKI. These informations are useful to empower TKI so that they are not easily misled by “taikong”, PPTKIs or other institutions and encourage them to refuse any abusive treatment. Method employed in this study is literature research. The result shows that, in the effort to provide the information, the role of information technology and innovation difussion could be utilized in improving information services performance to TKI. The utilization of information technology infrastructures are considered mandatory to achieve better efficiency and effectiveness in providing information to TKI. Information services could be delivered not only through face-to-face communication but also internet services or online information supported by e-TKI. By strengthening integrated online information system, migrant information services will become faster, more effective and more efficient. The development of e-TKI policy shows the Indonesian government’s commitment to continuously improving information systems services to the community.
