Hypertrophic pachymeningitis: An odontogenic origin?
Abstract
This article discusses a rare case of Hypertrophic Pachymeningitis (HP). The patient was referred to the Oral and maxillofacial department presenting with atypical facial pain in conjunction with atypical visual symptoms. The atypical facial pain was concurrent to a long-standing history of a dental abscess associated with the upper left first molar. The special investigations confirmed the diagnosis of HP. HP may be either idiopathic or associated with infective or autoimmune conditions.
