The Relationship between Politics and Economy through Redefined Rawls’s Political Justice --- The current situation of the world’s economic inequalities (in income and wealth) between individuals at home and abroad is concerning. We are facing a high dissatisfaction with politics today. From the political philosophical and hermeneutical perspective, I attempt to rethink its essence and its relation to economy. In the first part, I redefine the concept of politics and its primary ideal. In the second part, I critically analyze the neoclassical economic thinking about the separation of politics and economy. Based on four phases of political economy and reformulated Rawls’ political justice, I argue that justice is primarily in the domain of politics and economy, or that economy is the one that must be subordinated to the political in the service of justice. In conclusion, I also offer a reflection on the importance of (economic) politics for the modern times, and on alternative political economic arrangements.
