In the crystal, molecules are linked by O—H...O intermolecular hydrogen bonds, leading to a molecular chain running along the c-axis direction. The atoms of the hydroxy piperidine ring and the methyl group of methylphenyl ring are disordered over two sets of sites with refined occupancies of 0.754 (5) and 0.246 (5).
