Main Problems and Countermeasures for Sewage Treatment in Small Towns

Abstract

Through reviewing the main research on sewage treatment in small towns in China from 1984 to 2017, and analyzing the current situation of sewage treatment in small towns, it is found that though certain achievements have been made for sewage treatment in small towns, but there are still many problems due to extensive development mode, such as drainage system selection, pipe network testing and pipe network design. With consideration to factors such as environmental capacity, drainage standards and recycling,a proper sewage treatment process should be adopted to achieve continuous and efficient treatment of sewage in small towns.. At present, the decentralized sewage treatment system greatly promotes the development of sewage treatment in small towns. However, its efficiency has not yet been fully realized due to extensive management. Therefore, this paper researches and analyzes the selection of drainage pipe network and sewage treatment process, as well as the efficiency of decentralized sewage treatment system in small towns, and then makes recommendations.
