Since the arad of the 70's the human rights and the social movement around them have been very important in Argentina. This article analyses them particulary trying to discover the relations mantfested in the move of the social movement along the dictatorship and democracy, between its political role arul its role to claim the colective memory, between the political pragmatism and the claims of non forgetfulness found on the ethnic values of truth and justice. The perspective, altrough it could be seen to be abstract, has a vast documentary base and gives conclusions highly practical.
