Coming from the United Nations Organization Conference in Rio (1992), about environment and development, the biodiversity value in front of sustainability is universally recognised. On the contrary, the biodiversity influences on the landscapes construction are not so clear, as well as the landscapes features importance toward biodiversity and resources conservation. But Biodiversity and landscape heterogeneity together, contribute to the information exchange inside the populations and to the local perception. So they affect our choices, being able to orient the personal behaviours and the communities ones. Therefore diversity is involved into cognitive and cultural processes of the human population. The understanding of the links between landscape and the different biodiversity levels, is critical in order to arrange effective governance tools, oriented on an environmental, economic and social sustainability, based on the real resources that the high quality landscapes can conserve and reproduce.
