Today has given us a powerful change not only in the scientific and technological process, but also in everyday life. All of us began to use the gadgets on a regular basis, and little children have not seen the life without them at all. Information is no longer closed, and it has influenced on brain work greatly: we can control the work of our consciousness, but we can’t control the physiological and genetic characteristics of our brain activity. Hence, the heritage of neurophysiology and neurology is more than ever. The purpose of the article is to outline the latest trends in the methodology of teaching languages, the impact of avant-garde research on psychology, neurology and neurophysiology. The object of the study is neurolinguistics development, and the subject of the study is the implementation of neuro-linguistic and neurophysiological knowledge to model the modern approach to studying the Ukrainian language as a foreign language. The topicality of this topic lies in the fact that our brain is constantly improving, there are psychological and physiological changes, and teaching methods must constantly adapt to these changes. All these studies have not arisen only now – they have the powerful background of physiologists, linguists, psychologists and methodologists. The purpose of the study is to identify the peculiarities of the linguistic expression of mental processes and the interrelation of the perception of the language of the native and foreign languages. Methods of research: imperial analysis of linguistic material, analysis of vocabulary definitions, descriptive method, method of interpretation with application of methods of observation and generalization, methods of symmetric, cognitive and component analysis, method of modeling, linguacultural method, aimed at studying the codes of culture that hide figurative features of the concept, linguopragmatic and axiological approaches. The practical value lies in the fact that the materials and conclusions can be used in the course of lecturing and conducting seminars on methods of studying foreign languages and neurolinguistics, in particular the course "Ukrainian as a Foreign Language".
