Construction of a pedagogy adapted to the schooling of the small childhood
Abstract
Belonging to a school shape which was going to become l’école maternelle, a teacher works, during almost fortyyears, on the construction of a pedagogy adapted to the schooling of the small childhood. It is Marie Pape-Carpantier (1815.1878) who, since the direction of the first Ecole normale maternelle which will become Courspratique, participates in search of the best practices organized around the natural method. Very influenced by theempiricism of Locke and the current sensualiste, this method was going to become the central element of aforgotten educational thought.
