Theoretical and methodological construction of the study of the problems of the state policy of ensuring the security of urbanized territories

The study is devoted to the formation of a theoretical and methodological design of the study of the state policy of ensuring the security of urbanized territories. In order to achieve the goal, the article examines the theories of urbanization and identifies their relevance to modern realities, as well as the possibility of their application for the study of urbanization processes taking place in Ukraine. The properties of modern theories of urbanization are substantiated, which is the theoretical basis for the development of the state policy of ensuring the security of urbanized territories. In the process of researching the state policy of ensuring the security of urbanized territories, the object-subject field of research is outlined, which lies in several planes: processes of the development of the urbanized territory and its separate subsystems; the influence of the environment (natural, economic, social, cultural, political) on the development of the urbanized territory; the impact of urbanization processes and the actual functioning of the urbanized territory on the internal and external environment; the security of society in the context of urbanization processes, which is determined by the following components: ecological, economic, social, political, military, humanitarian, food; the functioning of urban areas has a significant impact on the personal safety of a human, this applies both to the impact of the ecological environment on human health and to social factors that are usually associated with urban crime. The complexity of the object of research, which is due to the dependence on various types of environment of social relations and the influence on their development, and accordingly the intersection of diverse interests of social institutions, has been established. This calls for the use of specific methodological tools , namely the use of not only general scientific methods of understanding social phenomena and processes, but also specific methodological tools – specific methods of the science of public administration and specific methods of economic, sociological, legal and political sciences.
