The characters of the scapigliata short fiction: models, protagonists, examples

Abstract

In the article, a brief and essential tour of the most important authors and some of the most representative works of the short narrative of the Italian scapigliatura is designed. From Camillo to Arrigo Boito, from Igino Ugo Tarchetti to Luigi Gualdo, from Carlo Dossi to Giovanni Faldella, models, themes, and stylistic and ideological features are pointed out.
