Analyzing the electromagnetic scattering characteristics for plasma targets based on shooting and bouncing ray method
Abstract
The analysis of radar target electromagnetic scattering characteristics is the basis of radar target detection, imaging and recognition. The high-frequency algorithm shooting and bouncing ray (SBR) method is used to calculate the radar cross section (RCS) of the plasma-covered target. Firstly, the RCS of the single-layer and multi-layer uniform plasma-covered cylinders was calculated and compared with multilevel fast multipole algorithm (MLFMA) to prove the correctness of the program. The effects of different incident conditions and different plasma parameters on RCS reduction were then investigated by calculating the RCS of the uniform and non-uniform plasma-covered RAM-CII vehicle model. This research is of great significance for the study of the “black obstacle” phenomenon that occurs when the vehicle is flying at high speed in space.
