“Eles querem quebrar a mesa”: terrorismo e diálogo
Abstract
This article aims to debate the figure of the new terrorist as a political and epistemic construction that is sustained upon the historic production of the Racial Other and serves as a means of its maintenance. Drawing from some groundwork proper to the theoretical approach surrounding the concept of new terrorism, I consider how the racialized epistemic seizure of certain violent actions, by confining them in the contemporary category of terrorism, extirpate them from their intelligibility and prevents them a priori of a consideration regarding their dialogical character.
