The article discusses the teaching of history meet the demands of coping with prejudice and racial discrimination. The central thought of the article is: by what motivations and ways that the issue of peasant breach, now considered a classic historiographical debate, still present in two textbook collections History of great importance, approved by PNLD, which make reference to the subject of slavery black – strategy for confronting this discussion – through the peasant category gap.
