Continuing education for community health agents: an academic vision

Abstract

The students with this experience report evaluated the situation of vulnerability of the population of the city of Goianésia through the subject of Integrated Community Health Medicine and through home visitation in places established by the University from the period of May to June of 2016. The objective of this study was to reflect on the need for intervention and application of continuing education to improve the qualification of Community Health Agents in the city of Goianésia. The used method to do what has been proposed was based on the observation and avaliation of the reality on the assingned area, wich demonstrated, by result, the necessity of implementation in the practice field of continuated education of the CHA, aiming at solving the main questions and problems brought by community. Therefore, it is understood that the Family Health Program might be prioritized following the precepts of the Unique System of Health (USH) for in this way the professionals are trained to promote social health.
