Background. The modes of operation of the created virtual two-dimensional finite element model of a two-stage nitrogen-helium cryostat are considered in order to provide a theoretical assessment of the thermal regime of products operating under the influence of space factors, that is, in conditions of high vacuum and a temperature level of liquid helium in 4 K. Materials and methods. According to the developed thermophysical model, a series of test heat-vacuum calculations were carried out for the cooling mode when boundary conditions were set in the form of temperatures on copper thermal bridges, as well as for natural cooling conditions with the cryogenic machine turned off. Results and conclusions. The validation of the developed model with experimental data was carried out to ensure the assessment of the adequacy of the constructed model.
