A description of Syntomium caucasicum sp. n. from the Western Caucasus (Russia, Adygea) closely related to Syntomium aeneum (P.W.J. Müller,1821) is presented. The new species differs from S. aeneum by the more robust body, convex pronotum and coarse pronotal and elytral punctation, less developed medial line on pronotum and absence of lateral processes on apex of aedeagus.
