Systemic crises, the stunning EU-the largest regional association in the modern world, complicate its social, political and economic development. Global processes, in which the European Union is forced to participate, require flexibility and ability to respond to all innovations, preserving their own interests. Computerization of the economy, new digital technologies penetrate into the sphere of politics, social relations, affect the labor market, changing content and motivation of labour. The European social model (ESM), which was considered the basis for organizing the life of the EU, also cannot maintain the old framework. Social relations and, as a consequence, the actions and strategies of social partners are changing. The stability and existence of the European Union in itself are under threat.
