This article aims to review the recent publication "Embodied Online Therapy," released by Nova Science Publishers in 2024. The book presents a groundbreaking exploration into adapting embodied psychotherapy principles for the online environment, responding to the rapid evolution of digital platforms in the mental health field. As psychotherapy ventures into the digital age, the need for accessible, effective online mental health solutions has never been more critical. This publication seeks to address this need by examining the efficacy of online therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and adapting body-centered techniques for virtual delivery. "Embodied Online Therapy" discusses the broader implications of moving psychotherapy online, including the evolution of psychological counseling, the challenges and benefits of online group therapy, and applying sensory-motor techniques in a digital format. It concludes with a focus on the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) as a preventative tool for trauma, emphasizing its theoretical foundations and practical application. Through collective expertise, "Embodied Online Therapy" authors offer a comprehensive guide for therapists, psychologists, and mental health practitioners. It navigates the challenges of delivering embodied psychotherapy online, ensuring the therapeutic alliance and treatment efficacy in the digital landscape.
