Global Perspectives of Literacy and Social Studies
Abstract
The Hobgood Professional Learning Community work to integrate global literature into the classroom and expand teaching practices for bilingual learners. This vignette focuses on two methods: critically reading and discussing global children's literature among the professional learning community and creating a school to home reading connection with literature response journals for families. The goal is to encourage multicultural learning and English language learners and their families.
