Profil Keterampilan Proses Sains Siswa dan Rancangan Pembelajaran Untuk Melatihkannya
Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis profil keterampilan siswa SMA di beberapa sekolah di Kabupaten Sleman Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X sebanyak 163 siswa dan objek penelitian adalah keterampilan proses sains siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data menggunakan tes pilihan berganda, dokumentasi, lembar observasi, dan wawancara. Analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan proses sains siswa berada pada katergori sedang yaitu sekitar 40% - 60%, sehingga membutuhkan perhatian khusus dari guru, terutama keterampilan menginterpretasi grafik dan merumuskan kesimpulan. Inovasi model pembelajaran 5E hypothetical deductive learning cycle dapat digunakan untuk meningkatan keterampilan proses siswa. The research was conduct to analyze the profile of science process skill of high school students at some school in Sleman District, Yogyakarta. This research was conducted using descriptive method with qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were 10th grade student as many as 163 students and the objects were students’ science process skill. Instruments used to collect data using multiple choice tests, documentations, observation sheets, and interviews. Data analysises were included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that students’ science process skill were in a moderate category, ie about 40% - 60%, requiring special attention from the teachers, especially the skills of interpreting the graph and formulating conclusions. Innovation learning model 5E hypothetical deductive learning cycle can be used to improve students' process skills
