Key message Endobronchial lipomas are rare; nonetheless, physicians should consider them as a differential diagnosis in patients with repeated pneumonia. Computed tomography and bronchoscopy are recommended for diagnosis. In this case, the patient's cough was ameliorated after undergoing a right basal segmentectomy.
