POLIPO INTESTINAL COMO CAUSA DE OCLUSION INTESTINAL POR OBSTRUCCION DE LA LUZ DEL ILEON: (PRESENTACION DE UN CASO) The Intestinal Polyps as a cause intestinal obstruction: Presentation of case
Abstract
Los pólipos intestinales son frecuentes, pero sobre todo los del intestino grueso, diciéndose que incluso 50% de la población general es portadora de un pólipo en su intestino, pero esta patología no frecuentemente produce obstrucción de intestino y cuando sucede es por invaginación de un segmento de éste; 1,2 a punto de partida de dicho tumor; 3,4,5,6,7,8,9 nosotros vimos un paciente operado en nuestra guardia, quien vino presentando un cuadro típico de un oclusión de Intestino delgado, o sea, dolor abdominal a tipo cólico con vómitos y constipación, más distensión simétrica abdominal y ruidos de lucha a la auscultación del abdomen; exponemos este caso aquí, con el objetivo de que los cirujanos tengan esta patología en cuenta como posible causa de una obstrucción intestinal. Para hacer esta presentación hacemos una revisión de la Historia Clínica del enfermo, del Informe Operatorio (informa el cirujano que se encontró una distensión del intestino hasta un punto donde comenzaba un colapso del mismo, donde por palpación se halló una tumoración o cuerpo extraño no desplazable) y del Informe de Anatomía Patológica (pólipo hamartomatoso de intestino delgado), previo todo esto a la revisión de lo escrito en la literatura al respecto. Concluimos haciendo las necesarias recomendaciones.The Intestinal Polyps are frequent but mainly those of the Large Intestine, and it is said that even, a 50% of the general population carries a polyp in its intestine, but this pathology not frequently produces intestinal obstruction and when it produces it, it is due to invagination of a segment of this, the initial phase of this tumor. We saw a patient operated in our emergency service, who came presenting a typical manifestation of an small intestine occlusion, that is, abdominal pain to colic type with vomits and constipation; first of all, he was operated and it was interpreted that the cause of the occlusion was an internal brida, but he continued with the occlusive manifestation and he was operated again and it was found that the real cause was a polyp that occluded the light. We expose this case here, with the objective that the surgeons keep this pathology in mind as a possible cause of an Intestinal Obstruction. To make this presentation we make a revision of the sick person's Clinical History, of the Operating Report and of the Pathological Anatomy Report, previous to the revision of all written in the Literature in this respect. We conclude making the necessary recommendations.
