Abstract
The article presents the teaching of 5 to 7-year-old children singing according to a child voice register adjustment. The study analyzes the principal registers (chest, falsetto and mixed) and their influence on singing tone. Different opinions explain phonation type adjustment in 5 to 7-year-old children according to the singing manner. The paper provides the data of modern computer studies, which demonstrate the value of teaching input on the singing voice timbre. Careless chest voice phonation can affect the health of the child vocal apparatus. Despite this, the author’s research revealed the prevalence of chest voice in 5 to 7-year-old children. The paper communicates the main reasons, which challenge teachers to use chest register for the child voice quality formation. These reasons are the desire to quickly bring the child’s voice to a concert level, the speed of forming the muscle coordination, conformity of chest vocal range in early school-age children with the recognized age standards. The article reveals the prospects of falsetto register in 5 to 7-year-old children at the early stage of singing voice development. The author considers the scientific research on voice register adjustment and demonstrates that mixed voice close to falsetto is the most effective register. The author offers the protocol of this register formation, which includes three steps of singing voice training in 5 to 7-year-old children via games.
