One of the most serious problems presented by graduate students at is that on completion of the courses of the Masters or Doctorate, lack of a tutor, or alternatively, if they managed to have the support of some teachers, this, in most of cases, not fully agree with the student. Knowing that a guardian is in the commitment and obligation to assist the student, from beginning to realize their research project, to ensure the successful presentation. In our universities, this situation has become a serious problem, since, in many cases, students finish their education and fail to graduate, either, because either could not find a tutor, or began to work with some, but left the student in the research process. This series of eflections puts us in a position of analysis that allows us to think of a proposal or model for the Venezuelan university tutor and set parameters in order to change this problem.
