Abstract

Technology transfer can be defined as the process of transforming the results of university research and development activities into marketable products and services. However, there is a lack of funding sources that support scientific research activities for technology transfer purposes and to their reduction to practice. To fill the so-called university funding gap, internal funding mechanisms have been established that are primarily aimed at supporting translational research and to ensure the effective commercialization of university technologies.
