THE THEORY OF NARRATIVE IN BOOK GRAPHICS ART
Abstract
The principle of narrative is common not only to literature, but also to other areas and genres of creativity. Among all the genres of fine arts, book graphics is considered to be the closest to literature. In developing book graphics there are two basic principles of approaching the textual content: the narrative and the symbolic. During history these principles interchanged their position. At the same time, in the evolution of an artist such creative steps have always existed. Everyday life is one of the main factors influencing these processes. Thus, the early stages of historical epochs were often marked by the presence of narrative elements in art, including book graphics.
