Multivariate Quadratic Equations in Public-key Cryptography

Abstract

The work is dedicated to appliances of multivariate quadratic equations in modern public-key cryptography. The existing cryptosystems are reviewed, pointing out their pros and contras. Special attention is paid to algorithms based on multivariate quadratic equations and their vulnerabilities. It allows making a conclusion that it is necessary to perform some further research to find new structures, which will be resistant to known attacks.
