This article is part of the teaching of French as a foreign language (FLE) and is based on the results of empirical research. It revolves around the development of an assessment system inspired by the Common European Framework of Reference (CEIL) and correlated with the Algerian context of learners at the university’s intensive language teaching center (CEIL) of Mascara. The objective of this device is to assess the language skills of learners in a relevant way, with a view to setting up training that meets the needs and requirements of a successful university course.
