Pu-Ku Huai-en, one of the most important commanders during rise of the T'ang Dynasty, is Turkish origin. After the collapse of the first Gokturk state, Pu-ku tribe entered into the sovereignty of China, as a lot of Turkish tribes accepting Chinese domination. Some parts of Pu-ku family settled in China. Pu-ku Huai-en, from this family, was assigned to the task in the Chinese army and promoted as the deputy commander-in-chief in time. He is an important figure in terms of commanding to Uighurs in the suppression of An Lu-shan rebellion, being Bogi Kagan's father-in-law and giving up Uighurs from the China campaign in Turkish history. It is possible to see the reasons of Uighur dominance over China, the destruction of An Lu-shan rebellion, the cosmopolitan nature of the T'ang Dynasty and the location of the Turkish tribes in this structure from his biography.
