Traceability Impacts of Hazardous Solid Waste in Business Activity

Abstract

The National Solid Waste Policy is a milestone on the issue of management and management of solid waste in Brazil. But few Brazilian states monitor the traceability of hazardous waste. The overall objective of this paper is to analyze to what extent the lack of traceability can interfere or not the location of projects and can create favoritism situation. The methodology involves the review of environmental legislation; concepts and institutes; and data analysis. The absence of mechanisms mentioned in several of units the Federation demonstrates the absence of public policies for the sound management of hazardous waste.
