Engineering the coordination mode of atom or ion onto the substrate remains challenging. Here, guided by theoretical calculation, the authors prepare stacked-nanosheet MOF based catalyst with precisely controlled coordination sites on the surface and enhanced catalytic reactivity and structural robustness.
