In contemporary society, efficient energy management is becoming crucial for achieving energy sustainability and the reliability of power systems. Microgrids stand out as an essential solution to attain these goals, integrating various energy sources and optimizing transmission costs. A detailed analysis of different methods for microgrid optimization is key to achieving maximum energy efficiency and economic viability in its integration. This paper is based on comprehensive research into optimal energy management in a grid-connected microgrid using a genetic algorithm. The aim of optimal management is to reduce active and reactive power losses, as well as voltage deviation, through precise optimization of electricity production. Research has shown that the proper engagement of production resources and energy consumption can contribute to reducing the cost of electricity production, as well as reducing losses and voltage deviation.
