EDUCATIONAL METHODOLOGIES IN THE EHEA: CLASS MAGISTRAL TO THE PORTFOLIO

Abstract

The inclusion of Spanish universities in the EHEA and its demand for high quality standards entails upgrading the ways of preparing teachers. The recommendations emphasize the focus on the student, which involves the implementation of teaching methods to increase his role. This paper sets out some considerations on the use of active methods to encourage the student’s involvement in the learning process - learning and the best implementation of other traditional methods which should not be abandoned just for being traditional.
