The emergence of the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, present in more than 184 countries at the present time, supposes a challenge for the health systems worldwide. The training of workers in this sector and the elevation of the scientific level of their students and professionals are constituted in a guarantor necessity of a competent performance in view of the new epidemiologic conditions. In such a sense the experiences of the training processes of workers and students carried out in Dr. Juan Bruno Zayas Alfonso Teaching General Hospital in Santiago de Cuba are emphasized.
