Abstract
Commentary about the Colombian anthropologist Victor Daniel Bonilla, at the time of commemorating the 44th anniversary of the publication of his book Siervos de Dios y amos de indios (Servants of God and Masters of Indians). This text tells about the author, the different editions of the book, and about the controversies it generated around the role played by the Catholic Capuchin Mission in the Colombian Amazon.
