Preparation of Fe-Cu-C ternary micro-electrolytic material and removal of benzohydroxamic acid
Abstract
Fe-Cu-C ternary micro-electrolytic material was prepared by carbothermal reduction method with copper slag as raw material to remove benzohydroxamic acid(BHA) from mineral processing wastewater. The experimental results of preparation conditions showed that Fe-Cu-C prepared at 1 100 ℃,40 min and 35% anthracite had the best effect on the removal of BHA. The Fe-Cu-C was characterized by XRD,SEM and EDS. The results showed that the material had a porous structure and was a supported ternary micro-electrolytic material with Fe-Cu-C alloy,Cu-Fe-C alloy, free carbon as the main active component and quartz as the carrier. The experimental results of reaction condition showed that 2.50 g/L Fe-Cu-C could remove more than 86% of 50 mg/L BHA at the solution temperature of 28 ℃ and pH of 4.0-9.0. Pb(NO3)2 and Na2CO3 have little effect on Fe-Cu-C removal of BHA,while Na2SiO3 had certain inhibitory effect.
