Method of assessing the technical condition and failure of overhead cranes designed to work in difficult conditions

Abstract

The article presents a method for assessing the technical condition of overhead crane equipment. Particular emphasis was put on equipment designed to work in conditions that accelerate corrosion. The method described in the article is based on two main test procedures, i.e. assessment of the technical condition of equipment using non-destructive methods (NDT) and numerical simulations of overheads crane operation cases (FEM).
