PERCEPTION OF CAPTIVITY BY TATARS OF KAZAN PROVINCE DURING THE FIRST WORLD WAR

Abstract

The attitudes of Tatars of Kazan Province towards the position of the prisoners of war in Russia, Germany and Austria-Hungary are shown in the article. Tatars were passive in fundraising for Russian prisoners of war. Tatar press didn`t pay much attention to the position of prisoners of war in Germany and Austria-Hungary.
