This paper makes an assessment and a proposal to contribute to increase the consumption of turkey meat in Colombia. For this purpose, an analysis that includes the consumption and domestic production and imports and exports of the product in the country is proposed, also an analysis of the positioning of turkey meat in major countries of reference. An analysis on producers and consumers in the region of influence to know the strategies used to develop the sector is also done. Finally, it is proposed the consolidation of a production chain so that it can be strengthened not only in its production but also in product positioning in the market from quality, the satisfaction through product evaluation and differentiation.
