Recent years, cases of interruption of sanatorium-resort treatment of children with cerebral palsy (CP) became more often because of acute respiratory infections or exacerbations of chronic inflammatory foci developed in these children. We examined 54 children with CP, which arrived in Yevpatoriya Central Children’s Clinical Sanatorium of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine for a sanatorium-resort treatment. We studied the medical records of 32 children with CP who are under observation in children’s polyclinic of Yevpatoriya, analyzed the incidence of acute respiratory infections in children with CP within a year. Children with CP, which arrived in the resort, underwent electroencephalography (EEG), more than 60 % of the patients revealed epileptiform changes in the bioelectric activity of the brain, including those without indications of attacks in anamnesis and at present. Laboratory examination of lymphocytes CD3, CD4, CD8, CD4/CD8, CD16, CD20, CD95 revealed the decrease in the number of T- and B-lymphocytes under increase in the number of lymphocytes with marker CD95. After the sanatorium-resort treatment there has been revealed intensification of epileptic changes in EEG and the increased number of lymphocytes, including CD95. The analysis of developed on the resort exacerbations of chronic diseases and episodes of acute respiratory infections in children with CP was carried out.
